Tom Oommen

I’m an antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist at a hospital east of Toronto (Lakeridge Health).   The role of antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist is new for me;  we started the program in November 2011.

I hope this blog provides useful information and is helpful for those of you just starting out with stewardship.  I have much to learn in the world of infectious disease and stewardship.  We were unable to find anything on the internet like this, so I hope this is helpful.

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my wife, and golfing…although most wouldn’t call it that.  I drive an Oldsmobile with 350,000 kms on it. My goal is to break 500,000 kms…I’ll keep you posted.  The platinum tank has been retired.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact me.
